
Arias at the Armory

Arias at the Armory will celebrate the unique artistry and talent of some of the rising stars of opera who will be performing in Syracuse Opera's 2009-10 productions. Featuring arias and ensembles from some of the most beloved operas, as well as from the Opera's 35th Anniversary Season, the night will highlight favorites from La Bohème, I Pagliacci, Hansel & me); Eric Dubin, baritone (Schaunard, La Bohème); and Katherine Calcamuggio, mezzo-soprano (Hansel, HanselGretel, Carmen, The Marriage of Figaro and Rigoletto. Under the direction of Syracuse Opera's Director of Music, Douglas Kinney Frost, featured artists will include Sara Jakubiak, (Mimi, La Bohème); Brian Jagde, tenor (Rodolfo, La Bohe & Gretel). The event will take place in Armory Square (rain location, Ambrosia restaurant).
