40 Below Announces Launch of "It's All Here Street Team" Program with Recognition Event Featuring New York State Senator John A. DeFrancisco
40+ Community Members Selected to Become Part of the Inaugural Class of "It's All Here Street Team"
Syracuse, NY, July 21st, 2008 - 40 Below, a volunteer based, young adult, civic minded organization, announces the launch of the first class of their "It's All Here Street Team."
Over 40 representatives that embody the best and brightest our community has to offer were chosen to spread the word about why it's all here in Syracuse, NY. The "It's All Here Street Team" members were selected from more than 400 responses to an online survey that was advertised in April of this year.
"I am proud to support 40 Below and the volunteers of the 'It's All Here Street Team' in their efforts to improve the perceptions of our community," said Senator John A. DeFrancisco, one of the major sponsors for the initiative. "I am confident that the program will help to educate individuals about our abundant resources, events in our community and business opportunities, which will ultimately encourage more young
professionals to remain in our area."
Senator DeFrancisco will serve as the featured speaker during the recognition and networking reception for the Street Team on July 25th. The reception, which starts at 5pm at Ambrosia in Armory Square, is open to the public; however a RSVP is required to celliott@40belowsummit.com.
Started in 2006, the goals of the "Syracuse: Live it. Love it. It's All Here." campaign include retaining young talent, increasing pride within the community and creating a sense of self-esteem in the residents of the Greater Syracuse area.
"The Street Team program will enhance the existing elements of the multi-media 'It's All Here' campaign through personal interactions and monthly events at diverse venues from our well known attractions to our hidden gems," said 40 Below's Marketing and Communications Co-Chair, Nichole Wenderlich. "The role of our Street Team members will largely be to help promote the efforts or programming of existing organizations, while cross promoting 'It's All Here' and 40 Below. Tapping into those connections is essential to strengthen the program."
